PLENTY OF GAIN

Offering a robust 50 watts of Class AB amplification, the PreSonus Eris E3.5 has a significant edge over studio monitors with just enough power to get the job done. Although it may appear complicated, the way this function benefits you is rather simple. With the Eris E3.5’s gain set to unity (the U in the middle of the dial), you can easily monitor your mix at a reasonable level while yet having enough additional volume to make run-away transients (momentary strong peaks) appear louder rather than distorting at the same relative volume. It’s difficult to overstate how easy this often-overlooked function of the Eris E3.5 may save your mix.

FLEXIBILITY

If you need to fine-tune your sound to obtain a flat frequency response, the rear panel features completely variable high- and low-frequency controls that allow you to boost or reduce up to 6dB in their respective regions. Furthermore, PreSonus equipped their Eris E3.5 studio monitors with both unbalanced RCA and balanced TRS inputs, allowing you to connect them directly to virtually any sound source in your studio. An aux input for connecting your smartphone or media player is also included, as is a headphone output for quiet listening.
