  Per-vurt DJ School provides specialist teaching, training, and professional support for anyone with an interest in today’s advanced music industry. Courses are taught on a 1-on-1 basis, working to the student's needs and pace with flexible scheduling -weekdays or weeknights- or as small groups of between 2 - 4 students. The isolated 30m2 sound proof, low reverberation. And high-tech DJ Room involves:

In 6 weeks (18 sessions), students are able to learn all about Beat Matching, Cueing, Slip Cueing, Phrases Counting, Melody Analysis, Frequency Isolation, Mixing Techniques, Transitions, Effects, Intros Vs Outros Vs Breaks, Music Selection, Monitoring Techniques, and much more. At the end of each course, students will present a 1 hour mix test and receive their evaluation note.

At Per-vurt Dj School, course are given in a qualified and scientific way. Our main concern is to provide the students with the best they can learn from the Science of DJ’ing and not from our own experience. Students will be studying the structure of the Electronic Dance Music tracks from a producer point of view, and all about the Electronic Dance Music Elements and Sound Design. This way, mixing music would be straight forward and easy to be accomplished with fun, self confidence, and professionalism.

At the end of each course, students will have to present a practical examination of what they have learned during the course by playing a 1 hour continuous live set with no interruption. On completion of each course the students will receive his evaluation note and a Record of Personal Achievement. The record is a written profile of all aspects and skills covered by the students during their lessons.

Our DJ Room could be offered for DJs who want to practice, record their live set, or even enjoy playing music out loud in a club atmosphere with no disturbance.

  • DJ101 – The Intermediate DJ Course 

The Essential DJ course provides an enjoyable introduction to the Advanced DJ Courses. The duration of this course is 18 sessions (45 to 60 minutes per session) for a 6 weeks period.  This course will cover the following headlines:

  • DJ102 – The Advanced DJ Course

The Advanced DJ Course helps the students to develop the skills and knowledge needed to reach a career-entry level.  The duration of this course is 25 sessions (45 to 60 minutes per session) for a 3 Months period. This course will cover adding to the topics covered in the DJ101 Course, the following headlines:

  • Advanced Mixing Concepts and Theories

  • Advanced Music Selecting and Organizing
  • Advanced Looping, Live Bootleg

  • DDJ101 – Digital DJ’ing (Software DJ’ing)

Digital DJing has become the new wave nowadays using an external controller such as a midi keyboard or a control surface like the Torq Xponent along with software like Torq, Traktor, Virtual DJ, or Deckadance. The duration of this course is 15 sessions (45 to 60 minutes per session) for a 5 weeks period. For students who have taken the DJ101 (Essential DJ Course), and would like to take the DDJ101 (Digital DJ’ing), this course will be given in 6 sessions only for a period of 3 weeks. 

  • DDJ102 Live – Digital DJ’ing using Ableton Live

In this course students will be learning how to mix their live sets, promo mixes, or even their radio shows, using Ableton Live software along with an external midi controller (midi keyboard or midi control surface). Most of the radio shows nowadays are mixed with Ableton Live software. The duration of this course is 15 sessions (45 to 60 minutes per session) for a 5 weeks period. For students who have taken the DJ101 (Essential DJ Course), and would like to take the DDJ102 (Digital DJ’ing using Ableotn Live), this course will be given in 10 sessions only for a period of 4 weeks.

  • Song Structure and Music Elements

This course is very important for those who are willing to continue with the music production course. The duration of this course is 5 sessions (45 to 60 minutes per session) for a 2 weeks period.

  • Critical Listening and Music Organization

This is one of the most important courses at Per-vurt DJ School. In this course we will be teaching the students how to listen to music in a very professional and cautious way, how to understand and differentiate between Electronic Dance Music genres, styles and sub-styles, and how to organize their folders, database, and their CD case in the most expert and organized way. The duration of this course is 5 sessions (45 to 60 minutes per session) for a 3 weeks period.

  • The Advanced DJ Certificate Program

This Program is a bundle of 4 courses given in 1. The program will cover:

  2. DJ102 Advanced Course
  3. Song Structure and Music Elements
  4. Critical Listening and Music Organization

The duration of this course is 45 sessions (45 to 60 minutes per session) for a 5 month period.

Upon completion of a certain program, students will present an evaluation and a final practical and theoretical exam after which they receive their official certificate.
