Intermediate DJ Course
The Essential DJ
course provides an enjoyable introduction to the
Advanced DJ Courses. The duration of this course
is 18 sessions (45 to 60 minutes per session)
for a 6 weeks period.

- DJ102 – The
Advanced DJ Course
The Advanced DJ
Course helps the students to develop the skills
and knowledge needed to reach a career-entry
level.
The duration of this course is 25 sessions (45
to 60 minutes per session) for a 3 Months
period. This course will cover adding to the
topics covered in the DJ101 Course, the
following headlines:
- Old School Beat Matching
- Advanced Mixing Concepts and Theories
- Advanced Mixing Techniques
- Advanced Music Selecting and Organizing
- Advanced Looping, Live Bootleg
- Concept of Equalizing
- Understanding the Music Styles
- Harmonic Mixing
- Preparing The Perfect Set
- DDJ101 –
Digital DJ’ing (Software DJ’ing)
Digital DJing has
become the new wave nowadays using an external
controller such as a midi keyboard or a control
surface like the Torq Xponent along with
software like Torq, Traktor, Virtual DJ, or
Deckadance. The duration of this course is 15
sessions (45 to 60 minutes per session) for a 5
weeks period. For students who have taken the
DJ101 (Essential DJ Course), and would like to
take the DDJ101 (Digital DJ’ing), this course
will be given in 6 sessions only for a period of
3 weeks.
- DDJ102 Live –
Digital DJ’ing using Ableton Live
In this course
students will be learning how to mix their live
sets, promo mixes, or even their radio shows,
using Ableton Live software along with an
external midi controller (midi keyboard or midi
control surface). Most of the radio shows
nowadays are mixed with Ableton Live software.
The duration of this course is 15 sessions (45
to 60 minutes per session) for a 5 weeks period.
For students who have taken the DJ101 (Essential
DJ Course), and would like to take the DDJ102
(Digital DJ’ing using Ableotn Live), this course
will be given in 10 sessions only for a period
of 4 weeks.
- Song Structure
and Music Elements
This course is very
important for those who are willing to continue
with the music production course. The duration
of this course is 5 sessions (45 to 60 minutes
per session) for a 2 weeks period.
- Critical
Listening and Music Organization
This is one of the most important courses at
Per-vurt DJ School. In this course we will be
teaching the students how to listen to music in
a very professional and cautious way, how to
understand and differentiate between Electronic
Dance Music genres, styles and sub-styles, and
how to organize their folders, database, and
their CD case in the most expert and organized
way. The duration of this course is 5 sessions
(45 to 60 minutes per session) for a 3 weeks
period.
