G-Mohris (aka Moe, Chris Rubz) moved on to
Electronic music at the tender age of 14, after
owning his very first set of DJ gear. Emerging
as a self-taught DJ, G-Mohris began his musical
career playing in private parties, ranging from
schools to homes to clubs, sharing his fine
taste in underground music with a growing fan
base.
As with most of his same generation peers, the
legendary local club B018 and its long-standing
resident DJ Fady Ferraye were of a major
influence, and for G-Mohris it was a second
home, and the main inspiration behind his
passion for Progressive House. Deep, Dark,
Emotional, Hallucinating sounds intoxicated his
senses back then, but today G-Mohris fits more
on the Atmospheric, Groovy, Techy, Housy, funky side of the sound spectrum, both in his
DJ sets and his own productions. Wanting to
fulfill his ambitions.
After studying Business (Hospitality Management) and graduating from the Lebanese American University in Beirut (LAU) with Distinction, G-Mohris moved on to club management with the
aim of making a name of himself in the clubbing
business, not only as a DJ but also as an
organizer/promoter. G-Mohris began importing
such talented DJs as Fred Baker and Snake
Sedrick, and the events turned out so successful
that he began aiming higher. To enforce his
reputation even further, G-Mohris launched
Lebanon's first ever Music Shop dedicated to
Electronic Music: Per-vurt - a place for djs
clubbers and music lovers. With music releases
updated on a daily basis and a cutting edge DJ
School, Music Procution School, Recording
Studio, Music technology Gear, Booking Agency,
Record Label, and Production Company.
Per-vurt became the talk of the town, and it was
high time for yet another event to take Lebanon
by storm. G-Mohris brought back Fred Baker,
along with his partner Greg Nash, under the name
of Per-vurt Productions, and it was yet another
hit. Followed by Ron Van Den Beuken, and later
Leon Bolier and Joop, again a massive success,
Per-vurt Productions grew in popularity and
achievements, with much more to come from that
name.
G-Mohris established his new record label
Per-vurt Records (www.per-vurtrecords.com)
in 2010 with great artists and sounds. Soon
after the label launching, G-Mohris got invited
to start his own radio show on Proton Radio, and
his famous Per-vurt Sessions has been airing
every 3rd Friday of the month with
exclusive Guest DJs appearances.
Summer 2011, G-Mohris launched his new record labels Pink Pervs (www.pinkpervs.com) specializing in House, Tech House, and Deep House, and Vurtical Records (www.vurticalrecords.com) specalizing in Progressive House and Progressive Trance sound.
Beginning of Autumn 2011, G-Mohris decided to continue his studies in Music, and applied for Berklee, SAE, and Point Blank !
G-Mohris and
Per-vurt are two names to look out for in the
near future. |
